Most people think the word sin means moral failure or wickedness—but that isn’t what it originally meant.
In Hebrew, the word translated as sin means “to miss the mark.”In Greek it means error or mistake, and the meaning changed significantly when it was translated into Latin theology.
But that’s only part of the story.
Ancient Hebrew scriptures were written in four layers of meaning—literal, symbolic, moral, and mystical. Understanding these layers completely changes how we read the Bible.

35:20 consciousness in metaphysics
37:08 the pillars of sin
41:33 the imbalance of mind
43:34 four levels
59:30 how it’s connected to the pillars

All too often we excuse behavior because we fall in love with someone’s potential rather than accepting the reality of their choices. We tell ourselves stories about who they could be… how they might grow… how things might change if we just love them a little more, wait a little longer, or understand them a little deeper.

But potential is not character. And hope is not evidence.

In life, especially if you’ve been a people pleaser, you will encounter people who treat you in ways that are unloving or unkind. Not always intentionally, but consistently. And if you don’t yet know your worth, you will often tolerate it longer than you should. Not because you are weak, but because you are compassionate.

Eventually though, life brings clarity. Sometimes their final gift to you is repeating their pattern one more time. Not to hurt you, but so you can finally see clearly. Despite who they could be… this is who they are choosing to be. And that moment, the moment you stop negotiating with reality; is the moment your self-respect begins.

Because love does not require you to abandon yourself.
And healthy boundaries are not cruelty. They are self-honor.

What if God was never meant to be understood as an external being watching from the sky?
In this in-depth comparative theology lecture, we explore how the Bible, the Bhagavad Gita, and the Tao Te Ching all point to the same metaphysical truth:
God is not a being in the universe, God is the Being of the universe.

Using principles from relativity, moral paradox, and ancient wisdom, we uncover how modern Western Christianity turned God into an external object — and how that shift missed the original point of the teachings.
