Mental Health Awareness Month feels deeply personal to me. I know what it feels like to fight battles in your own mind that nobody else can see. I know what it feels like to carry darkness silently while still trying to show up for life. And I also know what it feels like to lose people to those battles. So this month isn’t just a trend or a hashtag to me. It’s a reminder that there are people all around us carrying pain we may never fully understand. People trying their best to survive another day. People smiling while secretly struggling to hold themselves together. If that’s you, I need you to know something: You are seen. You are loved. And you are not alone. There is no shame in healing. There is no weakness in asking for help. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with needing time, support, rest, or grace while learning how to come back home to yourself. Some of us are still here today because we chose to keep going one moment at a time. And that matters more than you know. So yes, I will romanticize the quiet moments. The sunsets. The laughter. The peace. The people I love. Because I know how precious life becomes when you’ve experienced the weight of mental darkness firsthand.
